SELECTIVE SERVICE

Forgive me Lord, for the barriers I set in my own selfish way

Barriers of ‘Yes, I’ll do this Lord’ or barriers of ‘not today’.

Forgive me, Lord, for my ego. Rebellion affected my selective choice.

God says, “Be silent and serve child. Godly actions declare My Voice.”

Forgive me, Lord, for my impatience. Forgive me for my lazy lack.

My agenda is now blood-washed by Jesus. Thank You for keeping me on track.

The barriers I had were self-created. The barriers I used were my act.

Choosing to sin was my problem while Your mercy was already intact.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: List the excuses you have used when God has called you into service. (ouch)

Can God “crumple you up” or “exalt you” as He leads? Self-pity means you are already “frost-bitten”

God asks us to trust and obey. Journal the experiences you have had in  mundane ministries.

DEAR LORD, Thank You for Your Patience when my excuses would discourage anyone else.

Thank You that You love me in spite of my weak attitude. Thank You for the privilege of serving in Your Kingdom.

Help me to be aware of the “frost” of lethargy. Keep me “warmed up” by Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
