November 11 – Genesis 22:2-“Take thou my son….
Remember to read MY UTMOST for HIS HIGHEST for
I WILL TO SACRIFICE
Abraham was asked to make a sacrifice that would cost
him quite a lot.
He was willing to offer an offspring. Isaac was
cherished he thought.
Am I willing to sacrifice on the altar what is the
most treasured to me?
Whatever I sacrifice on the altar will reveal what God
meant me to be.
If I sacrifice in a crucible, whatever is nearest,
dearest and best
Then I’ll be a conduit of service offering my Father
all the rest.
Abraham was given a provision. A ram was caught and
places changed.
If
God asks you to sacrifice, how would your priorities be rearranged?
God had a reason for requesting that sacrifice. He has
a reason He asks for yours.
Could it be that your obedient endeavors might become
a soul-winning door?
Where are you taking God’s Message? What sacrifice
for the lost?
Be encouraged, dear weary Pilgrim and lay your
treasure at the cross.
Abraham experienced a testing. Sometimes when life
struggles come
God is preparing for service, and life lessons in
obedience have begun.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Abraham did not choose to sacrifice. God created the appointment.
Journal an incident of deep sacrifice in your life. How did it become God’s appointment for you?
Someone said, “Make me willing to be willing” What is God asking of you today? Are you willing?
What if Abraham had weaseled out of the appointment? Journal Sarah’s thoughts when she heard the story.
DEAR LORD, Make me willing to obey even in the difficult days of my life. Lord, help me to be obedient in the little things in life, so that when a big sacrifice comes along, I will recognize it and obey more readily.
Thank you God, for the supreme sacrifice of Your Son on my behalf. In Jesus’ Name. AMEN.
