FEAR

Fear is such a wicked thing. It fills a soul with doubt.

Sadly warping its evil self until truth weakens its clout

Fear is such a controlling thing. It stagnates creative thought.

Fear exposes partial truth until doubts cause reasoning to stop.

Fear is wicked, coarse and cruel. Fear stalks its prey so bold.

Fear occurs because faith has moved. We pushed faith out in the cold.

God says, “Child, I see each falling tear. I know what fear’s about.

But if you’ll cast your cares on Me, I’ll rout that timid fear out.

Spend time with Me, I’ll heal your fear.  Spend time in My Presence and pray.

When you take time alone with Me, no fear will have power to stay.

Fear and faith can’t wear the same shoes.

Give me some time and watch what I’ll do!”

JOURNAL JOTTINGS – “Fear and Faith can’t wear the same shoes”. Journal times when you realized that your faith defeated your fear. When a situation presents itself, why does the fear factor often surface first? How can one practice having faith in critical situations? What part does scripture play in this equation?

How might you mentor someone who is controlled by fear? Journal the steps to increase your faith.

DEAR LORD, Thank You that perfect love casts out fear. Thank You that You will teach me how to grow my faith when it is weak. Thank You. Lord, that Your strength is made perfect in my weakness, so that when I rely on You, You will help me. Thank You Lord, for one more reason to spend time reading and memorizing Your Word. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
