January 1- “My eager desire and hope being that I may never feel ashamed, but that now as ever I may do honor to Christ in my own person by fearless courage” Phil 1:20

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

HE KNOWS

He knows the value of your courage. He knows the cost of change.

He encourages surrender issues until His obedience has full range.

He knows the people included. He smiles as you attempt to assign blame.

He has called you for His Purpose. He has treasures available to claim.

And then as you’re about to surrender, a crisis may distract from within.

Debates and hassles resurface along with old latent sin.

The Father watches your feeble struggles. He is aware of each bitter tear.

Your obedience for His Highest refines you as eternal visions clear.

Walk on, dear Pilgrim, with abandon. Press on, press on as He feeds.

Your Utmost for His Highest is waiting as you seek to follow His lead.

With courage, walk on with abandon. Rest well in His tender embrace.

Your Utmost when totally surrendered becomes a treasure of His Highest Grace.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: What kinds of things might cause shame as this New Year begins? Journal your decision to always honor Christ.

Dear Lord, As this New Year begins, I ask that Your Protection guard my mind, my heart and my actions. I want to do only what pleases You this year. May I do nothing to hinder another person from trusting You or walking with You. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN
