MEETING GOD

I met God early this morning. He hovered over me all day.
What a joy to experience His Comfort, each step of this Pilgrim’s Way.

I met God in the damp evening. My day had been over run.

Anxiety permeated by heartache, but God gave me nuggets of fun!

I met God in life’s nighttime when darkness crowded my heart.

But the God of every new beginning comforted my life, every part.

I will meet God in my tomorrows. He is faithful to you and to me.

We’ll find the God of tomorrow gives strength for every battle we see.

A bonus from the God of tomorrows is that He plans today, just the same.

His joy is well worth the journey while today He makes every step plain.

In every tomorrow I will trust Him. In every unknown, He’s the map.

In every concern He caresses. He’s the God(oil) that lights every lamp.

Darkness disappears with His fullness. Concerns evaporate at His feet.

The God who orchestrates our living, creates all tomorrows complete.

Because I met Him this morning, He welcomed my tenderized heart.

Intimacy with God in the morning is a personal privilege to start.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: List the things that God has revealed to you in quiet times.

Why is listening so important? What is the most recent thing God has revealed to you?

Journal the truths unfolding in this revelation. Memorize scripture. Write out scripture.

DEAR LORD, Thank you for meeting me when I come to You. Thank you that I never have to make an appointment for Your time. Help me to faithfully and regularly have a quiet time with you every day. Thank you for speaking to me through the Bible, sermons, tapes, CD’s and many other ways. Help me to search the Word to make sure the information I learn lines up with the truth of the Bible. Thank you for the discernment that You offer me as You teach me. Help me never to take this freedom for granted. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
