January 13 – Mark 4:10-“when He was alone the twelve…asked of Him.”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

QUIET MY HEART

Quiet my heart, Holy Father. Quiet my soul in despair.

Let me rest on Your Promises. Remind me today that You care.

Quiet my home, Holy Father. May family and guests know You well.

Quiet our hearts. Lift our burdens. Make our lives a place where You dwell.

Quiet my work, Holy Father, plenty of competitors out there.

Because of Peace through Your Spirit, many accept that You Care.

Quiet my friends, Holy Father. Pain stunts any spiritual flow.

Strong pain is silent, yet frequent, causing frustrations to show.

Quiet my pain, Lord. Remove it. Anguish can be healed by command.

Comfort my heart in Your Presence. I’ll abide as You strengthen my hand.

Thank you for the Peace of Your Presence. Thank You for relief from my pain.

Because by faith I asked You,  You completely washed away every sin stain.

Like the disciples, who asked many questions.

In transparency, I come as a lamb.

I am no longer a Sinner or Stranger.

I am saved and I know whose I am.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Why did Jesus want to be alone with His disciples? List an agenda Jesus might have. Give some examples of thing he told them privately. Does He have an agenda when you meet along with Him? Ask Him for an agenda with Him.

DEAR JESUS- Thank you for the wonderful feeling of intimacy with the Father that I enjoy in times alone with you. Thank you for the quietness of Your Presence. Help me to carry the QUIETNESS of Your Presence, everywhere I go. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
