January 24: Acts. 26:16- “I have appeared unto thee for this purpose.”

GOD’S APPOINTMENTS
God appeared to Saul one day on his worldly, willful trip
His purpose changed, his heart stood still.
Left blinded and ill equipped.
God appeared to Saul that day in a bright and shining light.
Blinded in the depths of sin,
Saul converted and changed his plight.
Saul’s name was changed. God’s purpose was clear. Paul was an appointed man.
What is going to change dear heart?
For you to know and obey God’s command?
You may not be as evil as Saul. Your record could be almost white.
But what if God appeared to you.
Might your sight be cleared overnight?

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Imagine the shock of the bright light that Saul encountered. Journal the feelings you would have had in his position. Why do you think God changed Saul’s name to Paul? Has God been trying to get your attention? What is blinding you? Listen well. God has great things in store for those who are willing to stop long enough to listen.
DEAR LORD: Thank you for Your personalized attention to each of us. Thank you for taking the time to plan our encounters with You. Help me to be alert enough to notice the “Damascus Road” experience you have planned for me. Thank you for the privilege of service and ministry. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
