January 6 – Genesis 12:8-“He pitched his tent having Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar.”

PRIVACY WITH JESUS

I need a quiet place alone to fall before His Face.

I cannot function any day without praying in this place.

I need my Father’s Blessing. I crave privacy with Him.

Ministry attempts are superfluous unless they begin with Him.

Try it, weary Pilgrim. Make it a daily habit to rise and pray.

Refreshing, anointed blessing will permeate your entire day!

Build an altar near your Bethel. Build an altar for those who pass by.

God heals and replenishes the labors of Warriors for whom He died.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS- Abraham pitched his tent between Bethel, the place of communion with God and Ai, which was a symbol of the world.  If Abraham needed an altar, we do too. Where is your altar? Do you have a specific time and place to commune with the Lord? If not, create one. Prioritize your time with Him in your Daytimer. Journal the secrets He reveals to you as He refreshes you. You might write a book! Sacred surprises are often revealed at altars!

Dear Lord, Thank you for the fine example of those who have gone before us in ministry. Help us to love you enough to spend time WITH You as well as for You.  May our ministry never become more important than time with YOU. May we remember to WORSHIP you first, then WAIT for Your direction and then WORK for you out of our gratitude to You.

In Jesus’ Name, amen.
