SACRIFICED ALIVE
God had an agenda for Abraham’s dreams.
He ran ahead of God’s Plan implementing foolish schemes.
Abraham had a credible list of what he could do.
He was programmed into thinking it was all for You.
God walked across his willing heart. He said, “Child, come follow me.
I know your heart is good inside
But I have a wiser plan for thee.
I want you in a quiet place, far from the critical crowd.
You’ve seen the pain in people’s eyes
While eloquence around blasts loud.
Wait just a moment. Stop awhile and pray.
You will glean Godly wisdom
When obedience has full sway.”
Dear Pilgrim,. A live sacrifice caught with obedience plans
Might be hiding in the thicket
Where the anointed ram stands!
Behind confusion’s bushes God has an anointed purpose for you.
Sacrificing alive unleashes creative ministry to do.
So release your hopes, your dreams and your plans.
God knows that you love Him as you rest in His Hands!

Is it death to personal agendas? Is it becoming totally free for God to release the gifting He has created within you? Journal the thoughts Abraham had as he climbed to the altar.
What are you waiting for? Your altar is waiting. You know how the story ends. Abraham didn’t. List the benefits that came from Abraham’s obedience. List yours.
Dear Lord, Forgive us for fussing about the ram we need in the thicket, when You have it waiting all the time. Keep our sacrifices alive Lord, Keep our obedience current. Make us willing to be willing to obey as we release the nearest and dearest in our lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
