ABIDING IN THE VINE

John 15:4-“Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself…”
I must abide in the vineyard
Where God has placed me now.
I am often a weary Pilgrim.
But God always refreshes somehow.
I must abide where I am planted.
This is where God wants me to bloom.
Abiding is part of the process,
God’s timing will bear fruit soon.
When I am willing to abide, I’m contented
Earth’s frustrations melt quickly away.
Abiding in Him harvests protection
In obedience, I’ll give Him full sway.
Lord, forgive my struggles and questions
About my place right here on the vine.
You comfort me with Your Presence
Your Plans are much better than mine.
So I will hold close to the leading
Of my Master, Savior and Friend.
He lovingly guards each footstep.
He’s a Friend on whom I depend.
He abides when life seems easy,
He abides when I loose my grasp.
He abides and He’ll never forsake me
Until I’m home in His Presence at last.
