APRIL 1

Romans 8:34, 27 “It is Christ….who maketh intercession for us”

“The Spirit….maketh intercession for the saints.”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

 CALL A HALT

From time to time in God’s Service we need to call a halt.

Stopping long enough to rest awhile before Satan tries to assault.

From time to time in Service we need assessment from the Throne.

What and why am I doing this?  Have I personally, spiritually grown?

My Savior is interceding. He is praying for all weary saints.

Do I wait and silently listen? Or do I simply procrastinate?

What a grief to my Heavenly Father if I run ahead of Him today.

“Forgive me Precious Father, I need to halt long enough to pray.”

The busyness of daily living has badgered me out of shape.

I will halt long enough to listen. My time is His for Jesus’ sake.

May my heart be broken in pieces by what breaks my Father’s heart?

Will I wait long enough in His Presence until intercession starts?

POINTS to PONDER or JOURNAL

What does “intercession” mean to you? Maybe an intercessor is one who prays until a soul intercedes for himself. An intercessor could be God’s link. What role does Jesus take in intercession? List prayer requests for which you are currently interceding. Date them. How will you know when your intercessory assignment is completed?

DEAR LORD, Thank You for the privilege of intercession. Help me to stand in the gap in intercession until the soul for whom I am interceding learns how to grip Your hand in intercession. I will then be waiting for my next intercession assignment.  Thank You for constantly interceding on my behalf to our heavenly Father.

In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
