Psalm 55:22 “Cast thy burden upon the Lord.”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

BURDEN BEARER

If I am carrying life’s burdens

If I am crushed beneath life’s load

Then I am attempting to become a Deity

Neglecting the humility of a servant’s role.

Spiritual burdens are placed upon me

For a temporary time or season or race

But “forever “is not my entire responsibility.

Today I will follow His sheltered pace.

In loneliness, burdens can be overwhelming.

But as the Lord carries the weight and controls

My willingness to relax in His Presence

Offers His solutions which eternity unfolds.

There will always be God-given burdens.

It is a privilege to be used by the Lord

But I only need solve the selected portion

That my Father assigns me to hold.

Burden bearing is a privilege with opportunity.

But if responsibilities are allowed to overwhelm

Then who becomes the controlling Deity ?

And who is the One at the Helm?

JOURNAL JOTTINGS or Points to Ponder: List events, assignments or problems that seemed overwhelming at the time? List the solutions. At what point did relinquishment create the solution? Think of a current situation. Make two columns. Title one, MY ROLE and the other GOD’S ROLE Watch the steps flow. Date the steps. Write the sacred encounters you have along the way. Sacred surprises are bonuses. See how many you collect in this situation. Praise Him.

Dear Lord, Even when burdens and cares consume me at times, keep me reminded that You are the problem solver, the burden bearer and Your view point is eternal. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
