WHINE OR WINE
Whining is such a childish thing that adults know better to speak.
Whining robs a peaceful soul bursting joys until strength drains weak.
Whining becomes a possessive pout. Whining is plentiful and cheap.
Whining stifles a praising soul in fact becomes stronger if steeped.
Gratitude is the opposite of whine. Gratitude flows from God’s throne.
Praise is an anecdote for whine. Praise develops a heavenly tone.
Lord, help me grow a grateful heart. Guard my words and actions and deeds.
Until my life is so overflowing with praise that Your Presence is all I need.
New wine warms the body refreshing the soul. My yoke becomes easier to bear.
Taking the yoke with an attitude of joy is the result of time spent in prayer.
Praises change a warrior’s heart. Praise lightens every yoke’s load.
Praising Him with an open heart will stop every “whine” in the road.

POINTS TO PONDER: Recall times when your burdens became a strangling yoke.
How did you learn to stop whining about it and grow in gratitude for the Lord?
Praise takes practice. Explain. What part might music play in personal praise?
IDEA- Try singing your prayers. Ask God for a heavenly, personal language.
DEAR LORD, Please forgive me for the times my lack of faith turned my joy into
whining. Help me to praise you in all circumstances. Help me to steep myself
in Your Promises until praise becomes a natural outflow. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
