Exodus 3:4- “God called unto him…and he said, Here am I”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

READINESS

Am I ready to follow Jesus? Would I recognize His Voice?

Or might I wait in confusion considering another choice?

Am I ready to follow Jesus to larger horizons under God’s sun?

Only because I trust Him appreciating His work already begun.

Am I ready to follow my Jesus? Am I surprised He knows my name?

Am I ready to follow my Jesus without any claim to fame?

Am I ready to follow my Jesus wherever His pathway leads?

Am I ready to follow my Jesus no matter the cost of the seed?

Following is faithful obedience. Obedience carries trust God’s way.

Trust is a privilege of readiness as I become God’s conduit today.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Imagine you are Moses. Think about the emotional ups and downs of his life to this point. Loneliness might be a tool God uses in preparation for obedience. Recall the loneliest time of your life. Did you have a “burning bush” experience just ahead. Journal the most intimate encounter (burning bush) you have had with God.

Why do you think you were so privileged? How do you use your privileges in Him?

Dear Lord, Thank you for every life experience that has prepared me for today. Help me to watch for the sacred surprises ahead and to be sensitive to Your purposes for me through them. May I always be alert to sudden visitations from Yourself. Help me to be open enough for You to speak to me through people, nature and the beauty around me. Thank you for Your Holy Word that keeps me focused day by day. Help me to regularly take time with my shoes “off” reveling in the holiness of Yourself. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
