STRENGTHS

Why did numerous Bible characters fall on the strengths they had?

Strong points complimented their character but undercurrents were bad.

Was it simply over confidence? Was it their lack of using God given guard?

Lord, protect any strong points You’ve given if the devil enters my yard.

May I be alert with vigilance, remembering all talents are love gifts from You.

Complacency is a definite weakness while strong points can be targeted too.

Lord, lasso my borrowed strong points by the strength of Your Spirit’s Power.

So that as my strengths are surrendered, I am protected hour by hour.

DEAR LORD, Thank you that my life has been blessed by the above list of strengths. Help me to remember that every part of my character has been designed by You with eternal purposes in view. Keep me cautious and alert to the tools of the enemy such as pride, temptation and lust. Help me to keep alert to subtle devices waiting to entrap me and make me fall. I know I am protected under the blood of Jesus and safe because I love and serve You. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
