SACRIFICIAL PREPARATION

Abraham’s simple obedience brought him closer to God’s Will

Anguish with the God’s agenda might cause any of us to kill.

The key to Abraham’s obedience was a sacrifice planned God’s Way.

Trusting in God’s purposes held beloved Isaac captive that day.

Abraham surrendered his offspring. What have you done with yours?

Surrender is total relinquishment. Isaac was relieved of his chores.

Character determines interpretation. Stabilize your character well.

Prepare your heart to relinquish. What is God asking? Please tell.

Is God asking you to surrender those nearest and dearest to you?

Is He asking for your obedience or to some other love are you true?

Isaac’s redemption was caught in the thicket. God’s sacrifice well prepared.

God wants to reveal His secrets but Abraham’s obedience is very rare.

Obey the call of the Father. Mark well the instructions He bids.

You are about to receive a blessing, but maybe your kid is still hid!

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Preparation for sacrifice is essential. Do you have the fire and the wood. Prepare in faith. List those things that God might ask you to sacrifice in obedience to Him. SECRET- Watch for character building benefits. You might be missing a blessing! Perhaps you will not be required to sacrifice at all! Journal your experiences in relinquishment. Date the joys and blessings that follow.

DEAR LORD, Forgive me for the times I have held too tightly to those I love, rather than obeying Your will for my life. Thank You that you are no man’s debtor. Thank you for giving far more in love and blessings to me than I am ever required to sacrifice. Keep me watching for the surprise of the “lamb caught in the thicket” In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
