PERMANENT FAITH

Until the Lord is Lord of our all, faith is a temporary, fickle fact.

Surrendering patiently to His Hands offers enough faith to battle attacks.

Until the Lord is Lord of my all, me and mine are still on the throne.

Until the Lord is Lord of all, I’ll never be bone of His bone.

Lord; walk across my weary heart when I become impatient with myself.

I want to grow a permanent faith but discouragement stocks my shelf.

“Be of good cheer,” the Master calls. “I see your struggles every day.

Because I have overcome this world, obedience insures that faith will stay.

So pick up the pieces of your daily life. Wrap them well in My tenderized care.

Realistically viewed with eternities’ gaze. Of your permanent faith I’m aware.”

JOURNAL JOTTINGS or Points to Ponder: Our own interests affect our ministry tone.

Journal ways God has taken your natural inclinations and used them for His honor.

What other sources and resources within yourself have you neglected to mine?

When do you intend to allow God to engineer your abilities and giftings?

When does our faith and life of service become permanent? What causes us to be fickle?

Dear Lord, Thank you for all you have placed within me for Your Honor. Help me to use my abilities as You intended me to use them. Help me to be encouraging to others. Keep us all from the tendency to scatter and not assemble together for encouragement.  May we not become lone rangers? May my life be mentoring and encouraging to others? Help me not to be so busy with my own vineyard that I neglect to help, edify and encourage others. Help me to “forsake not the assembling of ourselves together”. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
