THE CROSS

Intellectual scholars without wisdom declare, “We must move on from the cross.

Move on to Christ’s Resurrection.” But how can we minimize the cost?

Choosing to contemplate Calvary. Pressing into the pain Jesus bore,

His lonely agony and heartache shook my life to the very core.

I wept for the atrocities He suffered. I grieved for the punishment He bore.

Pondering His Mother’s deep anguish. Calvary is embossed on my heart, even more.

How can we minimize Golgotha? How can we dismiss His pain?

Oh Lord, in the joy of Your Resurrection, bring my heart back to Calvary again.

Thank You for Your glorious resurrection. Thank You for renewing hope in our hearts.

Let us never minimize Your blood shed or Your Redemption where true freedom starts.

Substitute your name for “whosoever”. Welcome to the Family of God. You are now born again.

Dear Lord, Thank you for the gift of salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on Calvary. Thank you for taking the blame all my sins. Help me to live the rest of my life in a way that is pleasing to you. Thank you for dying on the cross and rising again the third day for my benefit and for all mankind. I love you Lord, In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
