Matthew 11:1- When Jesus had made an end of commanding his disciples, He departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.”

IN GOD’S WAY

Forgive me Precious Master. My heart was in my hands.

I preformed a loving duty that You did not command.

I ran ahead of Jesus. I controlled when I should not.

I helped a wayward Pilgrim. Their concerns were in a knot.

                            God says…

“Relax, dear humble Servant. I’ve seen your kindness before.

My personal plan of action will work best with you out the door.

Now drop your loving endeavors. With intercession go your way.

Leave this work to My Holy Spirit. He will proceed without delay.

You began My Work as requested. You obediently followed My lead.

Now, stay out of the way, dear Servant. I am all they need.”

PONDER-Deep concern for others must be ordained by God or it becomes a control issue. Think of a time when someone’s concern for you stifled you. Recall the relief of the freedom you felt when released. Jesus taught and released His Disciples. Timing is important. Journal the joy and confidence that grew  when you realized that God trusted you to minister. Pass your confidence in the Holy Spirit’s keeping power to others.

Dear Lord, Thank you for the times you teach us and the times when we are released to serve. Help us to keep focused on You and not on our mentors and teachers. Keep our hearts pliable enough to always be teachable. Grow our confidence and trust in the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
