PAIN
(Dedicated to suffering Saints everywhere)
My pain was unbearable yesterday. This pain is excruciating now.
How can I manage, dear Jesus? This pain digs in like a plow.
“My Child, I see your suffering. You are coping so well today.
Pain can embitter a godly life. Allow this pain to enrich your Way.
Pain is an unbearable “ouch” for man. Pain ravages many lost souls.
My Peace alone will comfort you. In heaven no more pain, what a goal!

I’m in this quiet place today, working hard to live for Him.
I long to serve my Savior well, but this mundane position is dim.
God calls across
the quiet place saying, “Child, I see your face.”
Your countenance portrays my love. Others view through you, My Grace.
My Grace flows through your shattered dreams. My Grace is the song you sing.
Dear Child, everyone who knows your heart, observes your love for your King.
Continue on in this stagnant place. Self-pity has walked past your door.
I am alive and working through you. The Father couldn’t love you more.
This seems to you a worthless place. Life seems mundane, in your loss
But God has placed you strategically as your obedience reveals His cross.
God has work for you to do, leading souls to Him without fan fare
Folk are watching your attitudes as you graciously obey with prayer.
Someday you’ll know the reason why. Someday you’ll have a crown.
Faithfulness is all God asks. Peace in Obedience is the gift you’ve found.”
