2 Kings 2:12-“And he saw him no more.”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

ALONE

Alone I cried in anguish, I needed my mentoring friend.

Alone I cried in terror, because her earthly life had end.

Alone I cried with purpose, I am learning singleness of heart.

God had given me purpose. Loneliness is His place to start.

Alone I wept in victory. Satan is defeated once more.

God battles through my loneliness. New blessings are in store.

Walking through life’s lonely battlefields,

Be they chilly Jordan, death’s valley or a fall.

God holds me close to His Bosom

As He helps me scale each wall.

So I’ll welcome my lonely pilgrimage.

God has a new place to prove His Truth.

God and I are a team again

Saying good-by to my Auntie Ruth!

PONDER-For many years an elderly saint mentored me. Even on her death bed, she was an encourager. She longed to go HOME. Pain tortured Auntie Ruth’s frail body. Years have passed. I miss her as much today as the day she went to her eternal reward.

QUESTION- Who will miss you when you leave this earthly journey? Whom do you mentor? We are never really alone because Jesus is with us. Praise Him.

List those who mentor you. Mentoring is a privilege for all ages.  I have mentors younger than me and older than me and I cherish them all. Collect mentors. Pray for them and share them with others. Every mentor is a part of your life blessing bouquet from the Lord.

DEAR LORD, Thank you for all those who have left footprints of Your love on my heart. Your timing for them to minister to me was always perfect. Help me to reach out and encourage others in every age group and station of life.

May I be a conduit of Jesus, until I see You face to face. Thank you for memories and thank you for new friendships around every corner of life. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
