AUGUST 14

“Despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of Him.”

Hebrews 12:5

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

WHAT HAVE I MISSED?

What did I miss in Your Presence when You walked across my heart?

What did I miss by distractions that long since fell apart?

What did I miss this morning as daily concerns cloud my brow?

What will You teach me Jesus? I’ll try to concentrate somehow.

“My Child, relax in My Presence. Come apart. Come alone and wait.

I offer enough joy for your journey. I have all you need for each date.

But first, I need your attention. I’ll guide and teach you to know.

Beloved Child, I long to meet you, but your coming is often too slow.

I’ll give you My Peace, with surrender. I’ll give you My Joy through all pain.

Become fully acquainted with the Bible until all My Promises you claim.

Now you have missed exactly nothing! I offer all My  Blessings to you.

Keep on obeying dear Pilgrim, there’s much more in store for you too!

PONDER- Why is it difficult to concentrate on Jesus? List the things you could delegate to spend more time with the Lord. Journal the difference time alone with the Lord makes in your entire day. Someone said, if you have been more than two days away from reading the Bible, that is too long. Discipline yourself to read the Word. Journal the personal messages and thoughts that come through this inspiration to you.

Dear Lord, Thank you that You never leave us or forsake us. Thank you for Your faithful teaching and prodding in our lives. Thank you for the lessons we learn daily.

Help us to wisely use what you teach us especially in difficult relationships. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
