AUGUST 15
John 3:7-“Ye must be born again.”
Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today
I wonder when I bowed my head what rights I could claim my way?
I am a citizen of merit and worth carrying honor in my church today.
The Lord called across my pompous heart, “Child open your eyes and see.
All of your merit and gracious good deeds mean little or nothing to me.”
Righteousness is like old filthy rags. Good works can be fickle deeds.
For sinful pride and selfishness my Son Jesus died on Calvary’s tree.
Pack up your righteousness and foolish pride. Move them out of the way.
Jesus declared, “Be born again”. This is His Call to you today.
Thank you, Lord, for my forgiven heart. Thank you for dying for me.
In humility I come with a penitent heart as Jesus sets me free.

Have you been born again? God offers new birth to a penitent heart. Read John 3:16.
Write it out putting your name in the “whoever” part. Have you believed and claimed this verse for yourself? Welcome to the family of God.

Dear Lord, Thank You for the privileges and peace of being born again. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. Thank You for Your resurrection and promise of eternal life. Help me to live my life in such a way that it was worth it for You to die for me. Help me to lead others into this wonderful relationship with You. Thank you Lord, Amen.
