NOTHING COMPARES

Nothing compares to the intimacy I can find alone with my King.

Knowledge, wisdom and doctrine do not measure what intimacy brings.

Personal acquaintance with Jesus moves beyond the pain of the past.

Ideology, psychology and theories are fine, but only intimacy lasts.

Forgive me Lord, for doubting. Forgive distracting details.

Intimate contact with Jesus is a privilege while other relationships pale.

My time alone with my Jesus is uniquely special to me

Learning from the heart of the Father creates my personal history.

PONDER-Mary’s weeping, Thomas’ doubting and Peter’s denying all led to personal intimacy with Jesus. If we come to Him in our transparency, He meets us there. Praise Him. List your weakest moments. Beside each, list the ways God met you there. “His strength is made perfect in our weakness.” ALERT- Next weak point, give Him permission to work and watch for a sacred surprise. Journal your discoveries.

Dear Lord, Forgive me for the times we did not come as close to You as we could have. Thank you that you will “restore the years that the locust has eaten.” Praise and thank you for  renewed intimacy with You. Help us to daily walk so close to you that our automatic response is to consult You in every life decision and dilemma. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
