Matthew 11:28- “And I will give you rest.”

REST
Everyone longs for refreshing rest, when daily work is done.
Every soul hungers for more of God until His Spirit fills each one.
Every saint needs comfort of soul. Every worker needs rest.
Intimacy with the Father provides peace. Peace is God at His best.
So come to Him and let things go. Come and find your rest.
God and you will make it somehow. Children find their rest best.
So come to Him in child-like trust. Relax in His Presence with joy.
All of the things that mattered somehow with Him in control you’ll enjoy.
Lord, I am Your Precious forever child. I was made for Your Purpose and Will.
As I walk today in Your anointed path, my needs for rest you will fill.

PONDER- List the indications that a physical body needs more rest. Why do we neglect the indications that a spiritual soul also requires rest, nourishment and refreshing? Where do you find your spiritual refreshing? Look for creative ways to become refreshed in the Lord. E.g. Quiet place with the Word, rousing spiritual conferences, mission outreach, etc.
As appetites for food preferences vary so do spiritual appetites vary. Leaders who are good stewards of their ministry value are honor bound to seek a spiritual oasis. Try methods of refreshing in the Lord that are different from the norm for you. E.g. If you like loud tunes, try silence. If you like a quiet place, attend an up -beat conference. If you need people, go it alone. Watch how God will meet you anywhere. Note His methods to satisfy the longings of your heart. Be alert for sacred surprises.
SUGGESTION- Mark regular appointments on your calendar for times of refreshing with the Lord. Physical rest is an important part of renewal. The Holy Spirit never sleeps, so He can keep on renewing and refreshing while you sleep. Praise Him.
Dear Lord, Thank you that all renewal, refreshing and anointed rest comes from You. Help me to discipline myself to care enough for my Calling to have anointed God breaks regularly. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
