 TRAFFIC JAMS

Lord, there is a traffic jam between my thoughts and me.

I asked You for some reasons. Give me answers Lord, I plea.

I asked for free abandon, while disobedience snarls it up.

I asked for funds for projects and foolish debts disrupt.

I prayed for wisdom’s knowledge. I’ve asked for strength to grow.

But when I check my heart cry, old unforgiveness overflows.

Lord, change my disposition. I have trouble shifting gears.

That traffic jam’s dispersing as I release to You my fears.

I questioned Your Directions. I wrestle with detours ahead.
When all the time You were asking for my heart and not my head.

Finally, the traffic’s growing lighter. The flow came none too soon.

The Lord and I still travel because I know He’s coming soon.

PONDER- Sometimes when we pray, it seems like we are in a traffic jam. God wants to give us good things and we are frustrated with snarls along the way. Is the answer not coming because we are not depending on God like a child depends upon his father? Have we taken advantage of our privileges and neglected true holiness? Check your relationships. As a family member, is there unforgiveness? Let’s pray in expectation  as we walk into holiness. The Father’s bread will replace the stones. Use the roadblocks as teaching tools to mentor. Journal the journal of answered prayer.

Dear Lord, Forgive me for asking like a child without honoring my privileges as a child of Yours. Keep me regularly checking for unforgiveness in my life. Thank you for never becoming tired of my oft coming to you with needs. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
