AUGUST 27

NOTE- Today is my spiritual birthday. On August 27^th, 1947 I accepted Christ as my Savior. Jesus is my dearest friend. He gives blessings in abundance. He has carried my heartaches and loved me more than I deserve.  There is more than enough joy for the journey. Thank you Lord. When is your spiritual birthday? Perhaps today is your day. Now is the accepted time, behold now is the day of Salvation. Walking with Him is filled with daily sacred surprises! Will I meet you in heaven?

John 12:35-“ Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you.”

SANCTIFIED LIFE

Do you desire to have a sanctified life?

Is your heart well in tune with His?

Spiritual highs can create ecclesiastical shows,

Revealing counterfeit holiness in a whiz.

Smug satisfaction does not honor the Lord.

Smug satisfactions can regularly be worked up.

Lord, walk across the depths of my soul.

And empty my pompous, religious cup.

Now that I’m empty, I have more time for You.

Now that I’m obedient, there is space.

Space to press into the kind arms of God.

Sanctification is without merit, by His Grace.

Grace moves beyond all costumes and masks.

Grace sees beneath deep battle scars.

Grace will heal a true servant’s heart

Sanctified lives with God travel far.

PONDER- Walking in the light means that currently darkness is not there.

While God is nudging you and revealing things to you, you must obey. That is walking in the light. If you ignore Him, you might soon be in darkness. God never forces Himself on us. Keep alert to the searchlight of His love in your life. Could lack of obedience cause the light to go out? Welcome the light. Men walk in darkness because their deeds are evil.

Dear Lord, Thank you for the light you bring into my life. You are the light of the world. Thank you for loving me even when I was in darkness. Keep me alert. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
