John 16:26-“At that day ye shall ask in my name.”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

ASKING-LEARNING

Lord, forgive my presumptuous thinking that there was work on him to do.

When all the time You were teaching me that I should rely more on You.

Lord, forgive my possessive thinking, that I could fix things by myself.

When all the time You were working, I was watching from a pedestal shelf.

Lord, forgive my pompous attitude, blaming them or him or it.

When all the time You were loving and permitting me to struggle a bit.

Lord, forgive my unteachable spirit when I was critical all around.

You wanted me to blame no one. The lesson was also for me, I found.

Lord, forgive my insecure pressures. Forgive my stress and my strain.

Thanks for Your patient teaching.  Thanks for Your Answers I’ll claim.

PONDER- Have you ever had more questions than answers for the Lord? Have you ever thought that if you were God you could quickly solve certain situations? Prayer has a way of stabilizing life situations. List  prayer requests you have had in the past. Log the answers you thought should occur. Log God’s solutions to them. How do the lists compare?

List the unanswered prayers you have. Have you been asking amiss? Examine your heart and surrender the requests in faith one more time. Date the answers as them come. Begin rejoicing now because the answers are on the way. Praise the Lord.

DEAR LORD, Thank you for the privileges of prayer. Thank you for the faith building answers to prayer already in my life. Help me to pray from Your point of view which is eternity’s point of view. Thank you in advance for the answers that are on the way, In Jesus’Name,Amen.
