AUGUST 7
Luke 2:49 (RV)- “Wist ye hot that I must be in My Father’s House.”
Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today
MY FATHER’S BUSINESS
I wonder where my thinking is when a situation comes?
I wonder where my pleasure is when sadness in me drums?
If I must be about My Father’s work, if God’s Family plan is in view
Then when My Father teaches me, I wonder what I’ll do?
If I am in the Family of God and you and I are one,
Then the Father’s Business is paramount from dawn ‘til setting sun.
I must be in my Father’s House. I must feast at His Table with Him.
If I am a resident in my Father’s Care all other directions should dim.
May I be content in my Father’s House. Help me nestle where I belong.
God and I are an intimate pair. He is aware when things go wrong.
My father’s Business, My Father’s House, My Father’s love for me
All of the above are mine to claim because to Him I bowed my knee.
Welcome to Your Father’s House. A place at the table is set for you.
Come quickly to the Father’s House. The Father has been missing you!

PONDER-Everyone’s walk with God is unique. List times when you have been misunderstood for Jesus’ Sake. How did you handle it? Priorities are constantly being put to the test in life. The Father honors those who seek Him and His Presence first. Welcome to the table. Journal the joys of belonging to the Family of God. May we always welcome others to the Family of God with open arms. Christian hospitality is a vital ministry. Enjoy.
DEAR LORD, thank you for those who welcomed me into the family of God.
Help me to keep my heart open to mentor the new comers with Christian hospitality.
May we link arms and sing together,” I’m so glad I’m a part of the family of God.”
May joy be contagious as we walk with Him towards eternity. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
