John 20:2 ….He breathed on them…

The Breath of God in a marriage

Breathes new life into each soul.

Just as God breathed into Adam (Gen. 2:7)

 Breath of Life was His primary goal.

Lord, You breathed physical life into old Adam.

You can breath physical life into old bones. (Ezk 37:9)

Your strong Breath can regenerate sinners.

Singing love songs is routine from Your Throne.

Breath love into our wrinkled flesh as it ages.

Blow away all the hurts and the dross.

Your Breath of Fresh Air in our marriage

Is another reason You died on the cross.

Help us rededicate our married love   to You.

Silence our flapping tongues as we  pray.

If we dedicate ourselves and our marriages

Unselfish listening will teach us what to say.

If our marriages become as important as our ministries,

If our spouses are honored as God’s tender gifts

The Lord could breath new life into relationships

With Fresh Air from the Throne Room that lifts.

Sift past the pain to the party.

Sift the wheat from historical, hurtful chaff.

Forgiveness is the oil for His moving

As Fresh Air opens our nostrils at last.

Fresh air. Fresh oil. Fresh surrender.

All part of God’s forgiveness and love.

Redeem the time, lives are precious.

Fresh Air will revive His Best Plan for  Love.
