December 19- Matthew 10:34-“I came not to send peace, but a sword.”

Remember to read My Utmost for His Highest for Today

NEED

There must be a sense of need in a heart

Before the Father can ever break through.

There must be recognition of guilt to be saved.

The sword of God’s Word is for you.

His Word like a sword will penetrate hearts.

His Word is the tool that we need.

Anything less offers temporary peace

But His Truth offers plenty of seed.

Oh the joy of a teachable heart!

The privilege of learning God’s Word!

God sent His Son to redeem us all.

True Peace is the best message heard.

There must be a need, a void or a loss

Before any sense of His Presence is revealed.

Unless a soul accepts God’s Gift

They’ll never know that the Savior still heals.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Why do people hesitate to think beyond their boxes of security? What makes Christianity the best way of life and living? What kind of needs might change one’s focus back to the Lord? Journal the names of those for whom you are praying. Without manipulating, how might you encourage them to find Christ? Journal your strategy.

DEAR LORD: Keep me sensitive to the needs of others. Help me to offer a balance of truth and love to win folk to You. May I be so in love with You that it is appealing to others? Help me not to fear the truth of the Sword of the Word of God as you discipline and teach me. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
