December 28 – Matthew 18:3-“Except ye be converted and become as little children”

Remember to read MY Utmost for His Highest for Today

  I SPIT

Pride held a dreadful maneuver. It spit at God’s Throne today.

God was teaching me to surrender and I said, “I want my way”

Urgency had been the culprit I wanted it fixed right now.

I had no time to be waiting. I spit at my Lord somehow.

Lord, forgive my arrogant yearning. Forgive my disrespect for You.

You have motives so tender. I interrupted progress for You.

Lord, when I totally disregard You. I know Your motives are true.

When I disobey Your wise leading, it’s like I decided to spit on You.

Lord, How can you ever forgive me? I walked across Your heart.

Yet You just kept on loving me. (I don’t deserve the loving part.)

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Pride is a learned behavior. Spitting is a rude behavior. Putting the two together says “I’m superior, I won’t, I have my own ideas” Beware lest the rudeness of pride prevents us from being as little children.

Defiance and submission are not partners. Journal your journey into a child-like trust in the Lord and His plans for your life. Journal the feelings that the Lord must have when we release that human pride.

DEAR LORD, Forgive me for the times I have demanded my own will and ‘spit’ at your directions for my life. Keep me at the place of continuous conversion as I learn to walk with the simplicity of a trusting child. Forgive my arrogance and bad manners. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
