HAVE TO ACCOUNT

I have to account for my actions

For the care of both body and soul.

I need to be aware of nurturing

My body and soul with God’s goals.

I have to account for my thinking

Because thinking involves inner thoughts

Are the thoughts that I am thinking

A pleasure to the One who me bought?

I have to account for my choices

Do my choices hold obedience in them?

My body is the temple of His Spirit

Am I a vessel of honor for Him?

Actions, thinking and choices

Are options that I can choose

Is my life so pleasing to Jesus

That He approves whatever I do?

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: If God is teaching us something, we need to be patient enough with ourselves to let that teaching become a part of us. Journal a time when God was teaching and you were having trouble absorbing or acting on that teaching. Do you recall the relief you felt when the truth dawned in your mind and heart?

Did you release the impatience you felt with yourself for not seeing the truth? What might create roadblocks in life? Journal the journey.

DEAR LORD: Thank you for the daily teaching that comes my way. Give me a teachable spirit. Help me to align my heart and mind with Yours. Keep me pouring over the Word of God so that my mind will be trained to the sensitivity of Your direction. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
