Exodus 20:19- “They said unto Moses, Speak thou with us and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.”

WHY SO LONG?
What took me so long to listen? What takes me so long to hear?
Is it because of clatter around me, or am I filled with human fear?
Do I want to hear what God is saying? Do I listen yet neglect to improve?
Do distractions control my thinking? Is there a chance that I could improve?
Lord, please walk across my listening. Clear distractions along my way.
Help me to respond obediently to You that I will feel Your Approval all day.
I’ll recognize Your Voice and Your Leading. I’ll know when to stop or to stay.
If I listen to what I have been missing, Your Guidance will have total sway.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Sometimes we’d rather hear stories than know truth. Testimonies are wonderful, but what are you currently living through. Are all the ingredients ready in your life for your next assignment from God? Is God trying to place needed components into your life and your listening skills are on mute? Journal the joy of being totally surrendered and guided by Him.
DEAR LORD: Thank You for pursuing me until I listened to Your Voice. Thank You for seeing my potential for service. Keep me alert to listen for Your Guidance from now until I see You face to face. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
