I Corinthians 9:16- Woe is unto me, If I preach not the gospel.

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

IF NOT

If I preach not the Gospel of Jesus,

If I never tell anyone the Good News,

How will I face my dear Savior

Because I walked in selfish shoes?

If I preach not the Gospel of Jesus

If I tell no one what God has done

How can I enter God’s Heaven

And face God’s precious, dear Son?

Lord, make me bold in my speaking.

Help me tell someone new everyday

That Jesus died for our sinning.

Salvation comes no other way.

If I preach not the Gospel and praise not,

Then selfishness grows cold in my heart

Help me always to be courageously telling

So that God’s message has a place to start.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: A selfish person has self-centered interests.

How might Christians become selfish? What causes it?

List some creative ways to tell people about redemption. Now list those in your sphere of living that need to know the Lord. Begin praying over this list of names. Pray without ceasing and begin to watch for miracles. Be alert for opportunities.

DEAR LORD, Thank you for the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Help me to be alert for ways to encourage those on my prayer list to seek You and find You. Help me to be faithful, if I am given the opportunity to tell them about You.

Help me to always remember the day that someone cared enough to tell me about Jesus. In His Name I pray Amen.
