DREAMS AND IDEAS

We dream about good ideas, making plans in our joy-filled minds.

But dreams create no action, only musings there I find.

Lord; walk across our thinking and all the creativity You planted there.

Help us pursue whatever ministry Your Calling made aware.

Lord, You are our Source of dreaming. Creativity promises joy.

But dreams are simply ideas that no human has yet deployed.

If I truly trust my Savior, if my life is hidden in Him,

Then every dream He orchestrates, He’ll strengthen to begin.

What has the Father spoken? What did your mind conceive?

Get busy, weary Pilgrim. The Father has more up His Sleeve!

Bathe it in prayer with purpose. Enjoy your journey with God.

Maybe you’re the first to see it. Perhaps that’s why you’re on this sod.

God will equip, lead and guide you. He’ll offer His strength on that limb!

Be prepared for an adventure in living. Now arise and let go with Him!

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: List ideas that never became realities. List the ideas you did pursue and the results. Note the pros and cons. What is the greatest deterrent to creativity? Who is the source of fear? God had an idea. He sent His Son to take away the punishment deserved by the whole world. List ideas God is waiting for you to do. What reason will you give Him for your procrastination?

1. DEAR LORD, Thank You for creativity. Thank You for Your Salvation idea. Help me to accept this loving gift from You for myself today. I want to make sure I am in the family of God. (See prayer below) Thank you for the ideas You have for the rest of my life. Thank you for the Bible that I will read regularly asking for strength for daily obedience. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

2. Dear Lord, I admit that I am a sinner. Thank you for dying on the cross to take the blame for my sins. I now receive this loving gift of forgiveness. Thank you for rising from the dead and preparing a heavenly home waiting for me now. Help me to live the rest of my life in a way that is pleasing to you, In Jesus’ Name, AMEN
