Luke 18:41-“Lord, that I may receive my sight.”

Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

PERSISTENCE

The blind man was very persistent. He had been begging for many years.

No one and nothing could help him. He sightlessly shed bitter tears.

Jesus asked him a question. Jesus knew the need of the hour.

“What do you want from me, Sir? (Jesus was aware of His own power.)

Jesus wanted the blind man to focus. He was blind but by faith could see.

God created him to be a blessing.  He decided to set this blind man free.

Why are you calling on Jesus? What might He want you to be?

Are you asking God the right questions? What gifts from Him set you free?

Do you need deliverance from bondage? Do you need to ask one more time?

What does God want you to pray for or are you asking without reason or rhyme?

Hold on. Stop a moment and wait there. Jesus is about to pass by.

Persistently call on your Savior. He offers more than meets the eye.

He often blesses with what we ask for but what more does He long to give?

Remember, dear Pilgrim in service, all the cattle AND the Hills are His.

Ask God what you should pray for. He offers treasures already in store.

Your healing might prepare soil for service as His Blessings simply outpour.

The blind man immediately followed Jesus. Earlier he had sat in the way.

Take off your scales, weary Pilgrim, the Healer is passing your way today.

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Why do we limit the Lord with obvious requests? Someone had a dream about arriving in heaven to see a room filled with gift boxes beautifully wrapped. Upon enquiry, was told that they were blessings that the Father had prepared, but the recipient was too busy to receive them. Don’t disappoint the Lord. Wait in His Presence. Ask the right questions with persistence Prepare yourself to receive. List the blessings.

.

DEAR LORD, Thank your for blessing beyond what I could ever ask or think. In Jesus’ Name AMEN
