II Corinthians 5:14- For the love of Christ constraineth us.
Remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today
ABANDONMENT
The tiny seeds lay dormant
Beneath the cold, dark ground.
Until seeds are left in silence,
No growth will ever abound.
Flower bulbs lay in their darkness
Waiting for the Promise of Spring.
Growth is happening in the waiting.
Flowers will bloom and my heart sings.
Dormancy seems entirely wasted.
Abandonment screams, “I’m alone.”
But God knows that in His Silence
Growth happens as bone of His bone.
So next time you feel abandoned.
If you think there is darkness, no light,
Remember God NEVER abandons
He is waiting to awaken, when it’s right.
So abandon your love to the Father.
Trust Him through each season of life.
Remember the God of the Springtime
Is aware of dormancy’s dark night!

JOURNAL JOTTINGS: Describe how one can be constrained or held by the love of God.
Does dormancy mean that nothing is happening in nature and in life? When should we welcome dormancy? Journal the result of a dormant time in your life. What growth bloomed? How do you know it was God’s waiting period for you?
DEAR LORD, Thank you for creating the seasons of nature and the seasons of our
spiritual life. Thank you for the sowing time and the harvest time. Help me to
relax in the waiting rooms of life. Help me to continue to watch and wait
patiently for Your leading. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN
