SUPPLIES
If I buy supplies at the market.
I expect a fresh wholesome supply.
But if I chose to consume old refuse
Staleness and mould might sicken and die.
Lord, what is stored in my spiritual pantry.
Who feeds me and what am I fed?
Are there always fresh coals from Your altar?
Or is Your Word spoken stale as last season’s bread.
May my Source and Supply for my feeding
Continually offer eternal values brand new.
So that whatever reflects godly teaching
Will grow in obedience as I follow You.
Help me to always discern what is garbage.
Help me quickly discard the dross.
So that whatever Godly lessons I am learning
Will constantly point to His Cross.

POINTS TO PONDER: Sometimes when we become physically weary, our perceptions are less alert. Journal a time that God taught valuable lessons in spite of your weariness. Why should we carefully check the sources and vessels God uses to teach us? BEWARE Every messenger is NOT God ordained. What have you learned from the most unexpected, insignificant teachers? Spend time with children. What lessons have you learned from them. (Open Nanny’s Diary –Poeticpen ) ENJOY.
DEAR LORD, Thank you that you are aware of my needs in my spiritual journey. Thank you for the times when you have used the most unlikely vessels to teach me truths from Yourself. Keep me alert to glean lessons from Your Word. Help me to remember to line up every spiritual teaching with the Biblical teaching. Thank you for Your Word, the Bible. Thank You for Your availability and patience as my Teacher.
In Jesus’ Name, AMEN
