NO ONE TO FAN THE FLAME

The Lord wanted to send a revival but there was no one to fan the flame.

The Lord had plans for our town but no one would tarry in His Name.

The Lord wanted to send a revival.  Townspeople with deep needs waited there.

No one would take time to listen preferring their soft TV chair.

The Lord wanted to send a revival but the DOLLAR store began to renovate

Running to shop for  bargains no one thought about an eternal hell gate.

The Lord wanted to send a revival, but vacations and golfing had begun.

Some were fussing about the music while other said wait for winter to come.

The Lord wanted to send a revival. Hurting people daily walked by our door.

No one welcomed those sinners. Their blood is upon us evermore.

The Lord wanted to send a revival. He was bursting with blessings to share.

But no one recognized true revival because no one would invest time in prayer.

The Lord wanted to send a revival, but the skeptics wouldn’t give it a shot.

Everyone talked about past revivals wondering if revivalists could be bought.

“Lord, I beg You to give us revival.

This town is wallowing in deep sin.

Lord, if there is ever to be a revival

May my heart be Your Place to begin?

I need to hang up my hang -ups. I need to kneel on the floor.

Before there can be a revival, I need to fall in love with You more.”

If I am truly in love with my Jesus, if I am willing to obey His Call.

I will drop all ungodly pretense and pray fervently until revival fires fall.

I need to surrender all agendas. I need to be cleansed from my sin.

Holiness is the soil for revival. Revival starts where the Holy Spirit begins.

Dear Lord, Prepare our hearts for revival. Please begin with a fresh anointing on me.

May many lost souls find the Savior as I am learning to fan flames for Thee!
