I BELIEVE

I believe in my child, because I love him.

I believe in God’s perpetual care.

I believe my son is creative and capable.

I believe in  God and I know He is there.

Realizing some situations are sadly tragic.

Knowing events might be decidedly unfair

Choices and decisions that seemed final

Could be gardens for growth if one dares!

I believe in opportunities behind locked doors.

I believe there are choices to create peace.

But nothing and no one will ever move on

If anger isn’t forgiven with release.

Walk past anger to ignite something creative.

Walk beyond tragedy to transform life’s best.

I believe one will find peaceful progress

When God is in the equation, forgiveness rests.

I believe and I pray with deep anguish.

I cry in my night’s agony all alone.

Finally, I turn to claim God’s Promises

He’ll never forsake and He’ll bring my boy home.
