NOT A BLESS ME CLUB

My Child, church is not a “bless me club” or a place to socialize with friends.

The church is a body of needy folk who are learning on Jesus to depend.

When church becomes a social club, a place prioritizing socials and eats

Satan has a whale of a time knowing he doesn’t have to compete.

Church should be a hallowed place where wounded souls find peace and rest.

A place where folk can try their wings, loving others is what we do best.

The joy of church will boomerang the more we invest in spontaneous praise.

The Lord rewards those servant’s hearts teaching  growth in Godly ways.

Come to church with an unselfish heart. Watch for other folk to bless.

Abandon your needs for other’s sakes. God loves you and He will refresh.

PONDER- What motivates folk to attend church? Do the motivational, marketing tools superseded worship, teaching or discipline needed for balanced Christian living?

Take inventory of your personal church activities. On a scale of one to ten, mark the ones most important from God’s Point of View. Everyone has the same amount of time each day. What hours are you wasting, what hours have eternal investment?

Dear Lord, Keep my eyes focused on You so that I can measure the value of what I do so that the fullness of Christ is seen through me. Give the leaders of my church wisdom and discernment as they plan agendas. May my church be a light house in this community.

May the people of my town know that Jesus is alive and well in our church.

Make my church a soul winning church. Lord, may that soul winning start in me.
