Isaiah 40:31-“They that wait upon the Lord…shall walk and not faint.”

Please remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

Walking Without Fainting

It is not a thrill to walk alone

Or to take any timid steps unknown.

It is not a pleasure to walk afraid

Trying to plant where a plot is paved!

But as we follow the Savior more

Each step alone with Him, makes four! (His 2+my 2)

Our walk with Him is courageous now

Confidence grows through the Trinity somehow.

Waiting on  God births character refined.

Godly obedience becomes a choice in our mind.

The Spirit will continue to strengthen and lead

If we listen to the Father and obediently heed.

Never alone while walking with Him.

Never alone when life’s shadows dim.

Never away from the Father’s strong heart.

Life has a purpose, God’s gift from the start.

POINTS to PONDER-Have you ever felt that you did not have the strength to take one more step on your personal pilgrimage? Journal how God revitalized you. What part did patience and waiting have in the process? Look for sacred surprises in the waiting rooms of life.

Dear Lord, Help me to realize the treasures to be found as I submit to the discipline of waiting. May I dig into Your Word more and look into Your face during the pauses of life. Thank you for the weak places that press me into Your arms once more, reminding me that You never leave me nor forsake me. Thank you for Your Comfort in the frustrations of life.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
