Isaiah 6:5- “Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips.”

LIPS
Bring home to my heart, Holy Father, my careless sloppy words
The ones I spoke with selfish motive preferring my opinions to be heard.
Bring home to my heart. Holy Father, the cleansing that I need to do.
So that all my focus is Godly as my plans for this day include You.
Bring home to my heart, Holy Father, that wherever I go today
With obedience on the agenda, holiness will affect what I say.
Bring home to my heart, Holy Father, time wasted in activity and in thought
Can never be redeemed or recaptured. Words wasted are words spoken for naught.
Come home to my heart, Holy Father. You are welcome. You are my best Friend.
As I learn the words You want spoken, Your Word will have impact, no end.

DEAR LORD, Thank you for the reality of knowing that my frailties are not unique.
Thank you for forgiving me when I say inappropriate things. Anoint my lips to speak blessing and truth to people for Jesus’ Sake. May my mouth be an instrument of Peace for Your honor and glory? In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.
