GOD SHAPED VACUUM

There is an aching abyss in human hearts that only God can fill.

There’s an aching abyss in all of us involving choice and personal will.

God created humans with deficits. He created longings shaped by Himself.

The choice is ours. The offer is clear.  Here lies potential for spiritual wealth.

When we view ourselves as we really are, when we know that we are but dust

When we acknowledge an emptiness of heart, in- filling becomes a must.

God knows our frame. He created us. His image is stamped deep inside.

Allowing this vacuum to be filled with Himself is a joy in which He abides.

PONDER-The love of God is so awesome. He created us. He knows the vacuum empty inside us that only He can fill and yet He keeps on loving until we finally realize our deficit and come back to Him. Journal the journey you had until this truth became real to you. What are some of the substitutes folk cling to until they acknowledge that He is the answer.

Dear Lord, Thank you for Your infinite patience with me. Thank you for the day that I realized that the longings and restlessness I was experiencing was because You were missing in my life. Thank you for filling up the God Shaped vacuum of my life with Yourself. Help me to encourage others to face the reality of who You are and all You want to be in folk’s lives. Thank you for the Peace You bring that passes all understanding when our sins are forgiven and we are walking in obedience with You everyday. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
