JULY 8

Joshua 24:15- “Choose you this day whom ye will serve.”

Please remember to read “My Utmost for His Highest” for Today

VOICES

I am hearing many voices. Opinions crowd my day.

But I must sensitive to Jesus and let Him lead His Way.

The flattering voices of people, the murmurs of stress and the strain

Are some of the voices offered preventing Jesus from having full reign.

Quiet my heart, Holy Father. Quiet all opinions but Yours.

Alone in Your quiet Presence, I’m equipped to battle life’s wars.

So hush all  well meaning suggestions. Remove all confusion within.

Obedience alone with the Father frees me to recognize souls in sin.

I  choose to reach out to others. I choose to serve You today.

The voice I hear is the Master’s and His is the voice I’ll obey.

PONDER-Decision making and choices are facts of life. List the steps you take in decision making. What priority is given to seeking God’s Will? Think of past decisions made that did not include God’s point of view. What were the consequences? Create a formula for future decision making. What percentage of the decision making process includes personal prayer, counsel of others, the Word, etc.?

Dear Lord, Your are delighted when I seek counsel from You. Help me to consider Your opinion first in every decision of life. Thank You for Your personal interest in me. Forgive me for the times that I have run ahead of You in my decision making processes. Help me to choose to serve You daily. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
