Introduction- Measles are a physical condition with red skin blotches. Silly thought, but if our lack of spiritual tone was manifest by the amount of red blotches revealed, how obvious might our lack of obedience be to others!
MEASLES
If we think we’re very spiritual as we sing or praise at church,
We decide to become more spiritual with offerings from the usher’s perch!
Perhaps we’re very spiritual giving to foreign missions with their needs.
Thinking, but I am truly spiritual if God’s ten commandments I heed.
But suddenly, I noticed strangely that I am covered with red dots.
Several places had blotches making me appear contagiously hot.
God said, “You’ve got spiritual measles. Some places you’re too warm.
Heated by the praise of others. Revealing that this truth is not your norm.”
Don’t get a case of the measles, with exposure running thick or thin.
The places lived in secret might not be totally surrendered to Him.
Whatever you are secret, wherever you’re willing to go
Needs cleansing by the blood of Jesus until no measles spots ever grow!
Have you ever had the measles? What if phony false spiritual tones
Produce blotches of measles embarrassing you to the very bone?
Be transparent with the Spirit. Do your holiness check right now.
Immunization hurts for a moment but following Jesus will teach us how!

Dear Lord, Keep me constantly alert to obedience teaching from Your Word. Thank you for the spiritual checks you give me from time to time. In the humor or the above, may I see the realistic truth of representing you well and of keeping my life transparently holy in Your sight.
