Matthew 7:2-“For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”

JUDGEMENT
I noticed a problem that a sister had. I saw a brother fallen in sin.
“How could folk do such things?” as mental judgements kicked in.
“Beware,” nudged the Holy Spirit in me. “Beware lest you sin the same.
Sinfulness noticed in others might be a weakness about which you’re ashamed.
Do you remember the other night, when you messed up and fell into sin?
You have no right to judge, My Child, your have the same sad potential within.
God chose to protect you from all of that shame. You chose to obey God’s Voice.
Except for the Grace, God offers you. You’d be doing the same without choice.”
Pray for the fallen, the weak and those shamed. Pray for strength needed each day.
Except for the forgiveness God offers you, you’d be walking precisely their way.

Ponder or Journal-Why are we so conscious of certain sins in others? List yours. Journal the reasons you have been kept from those sins. Write prayers for someone who often struggles with the same vices. Might that prayer be for you?
Dear Lord, Thank you that You never condemn me, but You convict and correct. Keep my spirit teachable and sensitive to Your scrutiny. Make me aware of the areas of my life that need more holiness and cleansing. Forgive me for turning a blind eye to my vices because I have been so busy minding other people’s business. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
