Isaiah 53:3-“A Man of Sorrows and acquainted with grief”

 FACTS of GRIEF

Sin is a fact, not fiction. Sin wears many an evil disguise.

A soul that worships the Savior is one who can sin recognize.

Grief too is a fact, not fiction. Grief holds personal, deep pain.

Grief was understood by Jesus. Sin created His grief from its stain.

Sin caused our Savior’s dying. Sin reigns and controls dark hearts.

Grief with its sorrow from sinning strengthens all satanic darts.

God planned a remedy for sinning. Jesus elected to die for sin’s stuff.

The Spirit came along to bring comfort. The Trinity has power enough.

Enough to soothe and to comfort. Enough to carry us through.

Live so close to the Master that Satan will flee from you.

The Spirit in you brings triumph. The Spirit in you is awake.

The Spirit is moving and working. Grief is healed for Jesus’ Sake.

Journal or Ponder-List causes of grief. Mark which of them are the result of sin. Mark the ones that need forgiveness. Is it possible to die of a broken heart?  Why? Do you need to release  heartbreaks to Him? Journal the release that relinquishing grief brings.

What does, “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee” mean to in your grief?

Dear Lord, Thank you that Your acquaintance with grief understands mine. Forgive me for trying to be You and carry my grief alone. Help me to recognize the signs of sorrow in others and lead them to release their cares to You. Thank you for your forgiveness, Your companionship and Your teaching. Thank you for the comfort that the Holy Spirit brings. Forgive me for forgetting to invite the Holy Spirit into my grief. I carried grief that You had planned to carry for me. Forgive me for getting in Your Way. Thank you for the joy found in relinquishment. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
