SORROW
Sorrow creates transitions for folk, affecting whatever life has left.
It separates truth from fantasy, demanding inventory of what was best.
Sorrow has no respect for persons, affecting paupers and kings the same.
It pierces into each arena of life, shattering stout heart’s claims to fame.
Why does God permit sorrow? Why is life’s grief bound to fall?
In heaven there is no sorrow. Sorrow can affect judgement calls.
Healed sorrow sprouts nourishment if surrendered
Released sorrow gradually soothes healed broken hearts.
Face sorrow with all it’s suffering. Walk straight into sorrow’s embrace.
With every pain that surfaces, God has a reinvestment plan lovingly in place.
Reinvest where love was fragmented. Relinquish the loneliness in your heart.
Sorrow is real. Life has purpose. God loves you as His healing starts.
Why does sorrow strike and shatter? Why does lingering grief exist?
Perhaps to tenderize our spirits until we learn that the best comfort is His.

Ponder or Journal-Sorrow and grief wear many faces. Journal the deepest sorrow of your life. How has your sorrow enriched your ministry to others? Joy comes in the morning. Explain. BEWARE- Stifled grief carried in loneliness could cause seeds of bitterness to grow.
Dear Lord, Thank you for the lessons you are teaching me in my sorrows.
Help me to face and release my grief to You. You lovingly make my sorrows and
grief Yours and carry them for me. Thank you for the ever present comfort of the
Holy Spirit.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
